What it leaves out

  • Electricity. A typical 43–55″ screen running all business day adds a modest amount to your power bill; commercial and high-brightness displays draw more.
  • Content creation. Free if you build screens yourself in the editor or with the AI assistant; a cost if you hire a designer or video producer.
  • Cabling and network work. Running power or Ethernet to a new wall position can cost more than the mount.
  • Tax and shipping. All figures exclude both.

FAQ

Cost calculator questions

How accurate is this digital signage cost calculator?

The software figures are exact DigiSignWall prices. Hardware and installation are broad, approximate US-dollar ranges that vary by region, brand and retailer, and exclude tax. Use the result to size a budget, then get real quotes for screens and installation.

What is the cheapest way to start with digital signage?

Use a TV you already own, a low-cost streaming stick or a smart TV’s browser, and the free DigiSignWall plan for one screen. That keeps the up-front cost to a player and a mount, and the software at $0. See what the free plan includes.

Is it cheaper to pay monthly or annually?

Annual billing is cheaper. The Pro plan is $29 a month or $290 a year, which is two months free.

Why does the calculator stop pricing software above 25 screens?

Pro covers up to 25 screens. Larger networks move to Enterprise, which is priced on volume from 100 screens, so the calculator shows hardware only and asks you to contact us for a quote.

Should I buy consumer TVs or commercial displays?

Consumer TVs are cheaper and fine for screens that run a few hours a day. For 12+ hours a day, bright windows or public spaces, commercial displays last longer and are covered by warranties for business use. The cost guide explains the trade-off.
